Update on BCCOHP Licensing & CE Requirements
Please check your email for the Newsletter sent out to you on January 20, 2026. It will answer many of your questions.
Please continue to keep records of all your continuing education (CE) activities, including those completed in previous years.
Even during this transition, registrants must continue to maintain professional competence.BCCOHP Professional Standard 2.7 requires you to:
Keep your knowledge, skills, and abilities current
Reflect on your practice and address learning gaps
Continue completing CE and professional learning activities.
DTABC advises all members to continue going to the PDC to maintain their CE.
At this time, we have not been provided with clear guidance on how CE completed before April 2026 will be applied under the new Quality Assurance (QA) program. Based on the information currently available, it appears that CE completed on or after January 1, 2026, may be considered, as members have been advised to continue completing CE as required.
We have submitted this question to BCCOHP and are currently awaiting a formal response. Our understanding is that the method of reporting CE will change under the new QA platform and will no longer be based on a credit-counting model.
