What does a Registered Dental Technician (RDT) Do?
Registered Dental Technicians of BC are proud to be part of the dental team. We partner with dentists and denturists to ensure optimal oral health.
Dental Technicians are health care professionals who fabricate dental restorations and appliances prescribed by a Dentist or requested by a Denturist for a specific patient.
We take pride in making dental products that meet the highest quality and safety standards. All work is custom-made to fit each individual, requiring much skill and training. For this reason, many technicians specialize in one or two areas of dental technology.
The major areas of dental technology include:
Crowns & Bridge, Ceramists, Dentures, Implants, Orthodontic appliances, Bleaching trays, Nightguards & Sports guards,
Dental Technology offers many challenges and opportunities, such as:
Ability to work part-time
Mobility
The option to own your own business
Opportunity to work collaboratively with other dental health professions
The satisfaction of providing an essential health service
We are registered and licensed with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals
Licensed dental technicians use the title of Registered Dental Technician [RDT] or Certified Dental Technician [CDT].
